Hamilton Kirby
Hamilton “Fitz” Kirby is a music technologist and musician who has performed in Europe, the United States and Canada. He has performed in concert with performance artist Carl Hancock Rux in Marseille, France and Calgary, Canada. Fitz has worked closely for several years with Roy “Futureman” Wooten, 5-time Grammy Award-winning percussionist with “Bela Fleck and the Flecktones.” His electronic music has been used in live performances in Mumbai India and at various other venues with Futureman’s “Black Mozart Ensemble.”
He studied record production and engineering with the legendary producer/engineer Elliot Mazer. Mr. Mazer produced and/or engineered projects with Neil Young, Janis Joplin, The Band, Bob Dylan, and others.
A project-studio owner, Fitz works as a producer, engineer, singer, and songwriter. His primary areas of expertise include audio recording and performance software such as Pro tools, Abelton Live, Fruity Loops, and Garage Band. His electronic performance instruments include the Maschine, APC 40, and various synthesizers and keyboards.
