<div><strong>AmiciMusic</strong> (<a href="http://www.amicimusic.org/" target="_blank">www.amicimusic.org</a>) is now in its second year of presenting top-quality chamber music in the Western North Carolina area in intimate venues and non-traditional spaces.  AmiciMusic aims to make this music more accessible and exciting by breaking down barriers between performers and audience through a more informal and educational approach to its concert programs.  At each concert, Dr. Weiser, the founder of AmiciMusic, gives short talks about each piece before it is performed to help put the work in an historical perspective and to highlight important things for the audience to listen to.  For its AMS series, AmiciMusic is also pleased to feature student performers at intermission.</div>
<div></div>
<div></div>
<div><strong>Ms. Patrick</strong>, a New York City resident, began her musical studies at the age of three and joined the prestigious touring group, the Violin Virtuosi, at age eight, participating in multiple tours to Japan, France and throughout the United States. Ms. Patrick has also presented solo recitals in the United States, France and Germany and has performed as soloist with many orchestras across the US.  She has served as the concertmaster for numerous orchestras including the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival Orchestra <a name="13c1879349855cf4_13c1862deb1915c4_13c185de84f59ce3_13b6be6b7a864145_13b6bdb27fd3d047_136c37f92228571e__GoBack"></a>in Germany, a post that she has held since the summer of 2009, performing with Lang Lang and Christoph Eschenbach among others. Ms. Patrick completed a Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Michigan and a Master of Music degree at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.  Her debut CD “Presenting Rachel Patrick” featuring works by Ravel, Korngold and Strauss was released on the Enharmonic label in August 2011.  Another CD featuring great violin encores has also recently been released.</div>
<div></div>
<div></div>
<div><span><strong>Daniel Weiser</strong>, pianist, is the Founder and Artistic Director of AmiciMusic, who earned </span><span>a Doctorate in Piano/Chamber Music from the Peabody Conservatory.  He has performed on many great stages, including the Weill Recital Hall of Carnegie Hall, the National Gallery of Art in D.C., and on the Dame Myra Hess Concert Series in Chicago. He has also concertized around the world, including Israel, Thailand, Holland, and France and was the 1996 U.S. Artistic Ambassador Abroad, for which he performed on an eleven-country tour of the Middle East and Asia.  He has been on the music faculty of Dartmouth College and the prestigious St. Paul’s School in Concord, NH.  He is also the Artistic Director of <strong>Classicopia, </strong>a chamber music organization based in New Hampshire, and was a founding member of the Adirondack Ensemble, which won a Chamber Music America award for inventive programming and outreach.  He has released twleve CDs on various labels.  A <em>phi beta kappa</em> graduate of Columbia University with a degree in American History, he also spent a year at Harvard Law School and was a classmate of President Obama.  A native of Buffalo, NY, he recently moved from Vermont to Asheville, NC where he lives with his wife, Dr. Kisha Weiser and their seven-year old twin daughters, Emma and Sophie.</span></div>
