Fantastic recitals everyone- all 10 of them! Our biggest weekend yet; we had almost 200 performers in 3 days. Congrats!

We're thankful to Charlotte Street Computers for selecting AMS to participate in their Power On Community program. In partnership with Asheville Community Theatre, CSC has donated 50 tickets to AMS to the ACT world premiere production of Snowbound for us to sell to friends and family to raise funds for the school. 2016- OUR 20TH YEAR!

It's been 20 years since Asheville Music School first opened its doors! Time flies when you're making music! Thanks to everyone who has been a part of AMS over the years. We couldn't have done it without the support of this amazing community!

Cello Lessons

The Asheville Music School offers cello lessons to students ages 6 and up, from beginners to advanced players. Celli are available in smaller sizes for younger students, so be sure to get sized before purchasing or renting an instrument.

As with any fretless string instrument proper positioning, posture and technique are very important to the student’s success on the cello. Careful, diligent practice is strongly encouraged. Our teachers at AMS utilize video and audio recordings to enhance the lesson experience and the music making process.
