Drum/Percussion Lessons

At Asheville Music School we have four drum and percussion instructors who have a wealth of experience regarding percussion performance and teaching. Justin Watt, Ryan Kijanka, and Jeff Hankin typically teach ages 6 and up and they can assist the student in learning styles of drumming/percussion including classical, jazz, rock, theater, hand drumming and keyboard percussion.  Their performance experience assures that they have a wide range of knowledge in these areas.  They are also adept in the areas of music theory and history and frequently use those subjects to enrich the teaching experience. Adama Dembele is a 33rd generation musician from Ivory Coast, West Africa, and teaches a wide range of African instruments and styles.
